For skiing lovers there are ideal conditions in Jeseníky for doing this sport. Jeseníky excels by unspoiled nature, divine peace and the best ski conditions in all of the Czech Republic. There are many ski slopes in the surrounding for both experienced and beginner skiers.
Directly in Lipová-lázně is ski tow (1700m away from the cottage) and ski resort Miroslav. If you would like to visit different places than you can visit not so far resorts at Ramzová, Petříkov or you can go directly to Praděd.
For cross country skiers there are marked and maintained trails connected to ski trails leading to Ramzová-Šerák-Keprník-Červenohorské sedlo-Praděd-Karlova Studánka.
Also for those who like snowboarding there are interesting places. For example in nearby ski resort Miroslav there is special snow park since 2006.
Ski resort Miroslav
Ski resort Miroslav is formed by several ski slopes of medium difficulty suitable for both beginners and experienced skiers. The resort offers chair lift 800 meters long, two-seat lift of 600 meters length and two one-lifts TATRAPOMA of 600 meters and 300 meters length. The resort also includes snowboard park of 600 meters length with rail obstacles. Ski slope of 600 meters length is illuminated with artificial light and is opened daily from 9:00 to 21:00. Visitors can use ski school, rental and service. There is a restaurant, buffet and fast food. Ski bus can be used to travel from free park place 500 meters away from ski slopes.
Ski resort Lázeňský vrch
Ski resort Lázeňský vrch is situated in Hrubý Jeseník mountains above the village Lipová-lázně. On the north slopes of Lázeňský vrch you can find funiculars and downhill trails for intermediate and beginner skiers. The resort is only 200 meters away from the main road and parking place is right next to the funicular platform. Ski resort Lázeňský vrch directly follows spa areal of Dolní Lipová.

Ski resort Ramzová
Ramzová is situated 10 km south-west from town Jeseník, on road Jeseník - Šumperk. You can come by train to station Ramzová. Ramzová has the highest express railways station in Czech Republic (760 m). Parking place near the lower station of funicular. Ski centre with four-chair lift LEITNER AUTOMATIC SA4 Ramzová - Čerňava and double-chair lift NASCIVERA Čerňava - Šerák. The chair lifts operate all the year long. In winter there are aditional 3 ski lifts. The centre offers skiing possibilities for beginners and advanced skiers. Night skiing. Ski school, ski rental shop.
Ski resort Petříkov
Mountain village Petříkov is situated in one of the most beautiful valleys in Jeseníky only 2km far from saddle Ramzovké sedlo. You can come by car. Central parking for free is in front of the village Petrikov. In winter season there is ski-bus free of charge transporting skiers from the parking place to the ski slopes each 20 minutes. You can also come by train or by bus to the village Ostružná. The resort offers 5 funiculars and 6 ski slopes with modern system for technical snow. Resort has united tickets. Modern buffets and social facilities for skiers classifies it among the most modern ski resorts in Moravia.
Ski resort Praděd - Ovčárna
Ski centre is situated near the highest mountain of Hrubý Jeseník mountains - Praděd, near the beautiful spa town Karlova Studánka. You can come by bus to Karlova Studánka or to parking place Hvězda, by train to Jeseník or Bruntál and than by bus. From the parking place Hvězda the skibus goes to the ski centre Ovčárna. Two other large parking places in Karlova Studánka. The highest ski centre of Czech Republic with the best snow conditions. The season starts in the end of October and finishes in the beginning of May. Centre provides 6 ski lifts with a carrying capacity of 1000 persons/hour and 4,5km of downhill routes of varying degrees of difficulty. Possibility of night skiing. Ski school and ski rental services.
